TideChangers Chapter Leader – Westside Corpus Christi, TX
Reports to: Executive Director/Director of Operations/Director of Programs
Job Summary: The TideChangers Chapter Leader ensures the safety and success of the local TideChangers Chapter they are assigned to, from Chapter launch preparation in the community, to sustaining the health and growth of the Chapter in the years after launch. The TideChangers Chapter Leader works closely with MO Director of Programs and Director of Volunteers to effectively carry out the mission of Majesty Outdoors through TideChangers Mentorship and Estrellas life coaching programs, effecting life change in participants, and encouraging and raising up volunteers and mentors for the Chapter. With oversight from the Director of Volunteers, TideChanger Chapter Leaders are responsible for maintaining all Chapter documentation for volunteer background checks, training, and abuse prevention policies, procedures, and protocols. TideChanger Chapter Leaders are responsible for initiating and maintaining community awareness programs for their local Chapter to include churches, businesses, and school systems. TideChanger Chapter Leaders are expected to participate in the launch activities, events, and support of other TideChanger Chapters as well as multi-Chapter events and other public awareness events scheduled by Majesty Outdoors.

Key Roles & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.)

  • Take the lead with Chapter launch & events:
    • Let’s Take This Outside Community Event
      • Identify Ideal Meeting Location
      • Recruit Community Influencer to build momentum for future meetings
      • Host a Community Awareness Meeting
      • Schedule and Promote Meetings/Events for Upcoming Launch
      • Build Relationships & Secure Sponsorships
      • Host Information Meeting to Recruit Mentors/Volunteers
      • Working in Conjunction with Director of Volunteers, begin putting teams together in Church Teams
      • Working in Conjunction with Director of Programs to train Core Team & LTTO Volunteers
      • Be responsible for registration, set up/tear down, and overall event logistics
    • Chapter Launch
      • Host Parent/Volunteer Orientation and attain applicable forms
      • Conduct a Planning Meeting with Core Team to schedule curriculum, events and outreach a year in advance
    • Utilize clear and effective communication protocol with MO Staff, Local TC (TideChangers) Volunteers, and Families
    • Create a Team & Raise Up Leaders
    • Reports & Record-Keeping
    • Mentorship – Youth and Volunteers
    • Assist Majesty Outdoors Central Support with events for awareness, fundraisers and future chapters:
    • Process & Procedures
      • Adhere and Advocate Majesty Outdoors Policies & Procedures, Code of Conduct, Curriculum Format and hold your team to the same standard
    • Proactive Use of the Calendar Template for Curriculum, Outings, and Regular Outreach

Chapter Facility Oversight

  • Dependent on TideChanger Chapter facility location and ownership, TideChanger Chapter Leader may be responsible for facility upkeep, cleaning and maintenance, security, utilities, and lease agreements, under the oversight and advisement of MO Director of Operations
